Professional editorial services from an unrepentant bookaholic.
Over one million words exist in the Oxford English Dictionary. Of these, some 200,000 are utilised by English speakers with 20,000 most commonly used, although a vocabulary of 10,000 words is closer to the average. It can be no surprise then that I stand in awe of authors: their ability to take a cluster of words, coax, tease and massage them into a preferred or favoured configuration, then bestow readers with their gift is magic. More, it is pure alchemy.
I strive to ensure this individual artistry is maintained and enhanced, with the essential meaning or message presented with the appropriate clarity, intensity, brevity, intelligence, humour, pathos, bathos, integrity, depth, vision, insight, irony…I won’t go on.
I cannot tell your tale for you – it is your voice that should be heard – but I will do everything I can to help you make it the best it can be. Part of my belief system encapsulates the notion that books enrich lives and open doors. They change lives, and perceptions, entertain, inform, break down barriers, illuminate and transport the reader to new worlds.
